Who am I at JapaneseNe?
Hello, I am Yoko, the creative force behind JapaneseNE Shop. Originally from the enchanting Kanazawa, Japan (a must-visit with its beautiful cityscape and delicious seafood!) I made the leap to the UK in 2002 for love, and now, I’m a proud mum of two wonderful children. In 2020, the pandemic led me to a silver lining – a passion for design using tools like Canva.
After navigating life’s ups and downs, I decided to turn my passion into a dream career. Everyone and everything starts somewhere, right?
A quick JapaneseNe lesson about – “NE” (ね) is added at the end of a sentence, essentially meaning “right?” or “isn’t it?”. Inspired by my husband’s attempts at Japanese (he loves adding “NE” at the end), I named my online Japanese shop “JapaneseNE ”.
